This activity features archived, recorded lectures that were presented as part of the STS Coding Workshop, a virtual event that took place in February 2021, and a series of supplemental online modules. The course provides cardiothoracic surgery coders, surgeons, and all billing professionals with the latest coding and reimbursement updates affecting cardiothoracic surgical practices. Topics include coding and reimbursement changes specific to all areas of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, with special attention to new and updated office/outpatient evaluation and management (E/M) codes for 2021. The course also includes a session on the physician’s role in documentation and reimbursement.
